Indiana baseball

as you may or may not know, IU baseball is having a great year. it started with the new baseball stadium, Bart Kaufman Field.

We started the year off with a great 2-0 victory over Louisville, the #10 team in the nation. we beat Louisville again, and we beat Florida 2 out of 3.

In the big ten, we lost only one series. and was the top overall seed for the big ten tourney. IU won, and was headed to the national tournament, where we got the 10th overall, and got to host a 4 team double elimination tourney. The other 3 teams would include Austin Peay, Valparaiso, and Florida. the winner would play in a super regional in Tallahassee, Florida.

Austin Peay won the first game 4-3 over Florida. then IU took on Valpo. the Crusaders scored 2 early runs before the pitchers took over. it wasn't until the 7th that another run scored, and IU made it 2-1. after a scoreless 8th, Valparaiso scored 2 in the 9th on an error by 2nd baseman, Chad Clark. it was 4-1.

In the bottom half to the inning, IU had 3 doubles and a single to make the score 4-3. then Clark, who never had an HR, stepped to the plate. though I can't find a video. Clark sent a 2 run walk off homer for a 5-4 win.

the next day, IU faced Austin Peay and dominated, 15-6. Valpo beat Florida 5-4. Peay then beat The Crusaders 4-3. after an amazing catch by Justin Curtain

IU went on to win 6-1 and move on to the super regionals. there, they won 2 games to move on to Omaha. in there first game, IU won 2-0 after a 4 hitter by Joey Denato. They lost there next game to Mississippi St. 5-4, and play there next game tomorrow with there season on the line.
